Sharenting e a era digital: impactos éticos e jurídicos da exposição infantil nas redes sociais

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Human interactions have been transformed by the technological revolution, with a particular emphasis on the growth of social media, which facilitates communication and the sharing of information. However, this advancement has also posed challenges to fundamental rights, such as privacy and the protection of personal data. Among current phenomena, sharenting stands out as the practice in which parents share images and information about their children, leading to ethical, social, and legal implications. This article examines the legal challenges associated with sharenting, focusing on the protection of personality rights of children and adolescents and the responsibility of parents in the digital environment. Through a qualitative methodology, a normative, bibliographic, and jurisprudential analysis is conducted, exploring the relationship between the constitutional rights of children and adolescents, parental authority, and the use of social media. The research seeks to propose a balance between parental freedom of expression and the comprehensive protection of children, addressing the impacts of digital overexposure, the development of children's identity, and risks to security and privacy. Ultimately, the study aims to offer reflections and solutions to mitigate the negative effects of this practice in the contemporary legal context.
