Impacts of racism on black women's identity formation

Abstract

This paper aims to show how the identity of black women is formed, Hall (2015), and because this identity, in most cases, is crossed by the white ideal. Exposing the need to make new ways of thinking for these women and for this putting psychology as an instrument to combat racism insofar as it is an issue that involves psychic illness. For this, we made a cartography (Deleuze, 1998; Rolnik, 2014) of the film Happiness by a thread (Nappily Ever After), as well as the interviews conducted by Souza (1983) in his research on the construction of black identity and a review bibliographical.
